Job Title: School Receptionist/Admin AssistantSecondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) Billingham. £13.68 phStart: January 2026. We are seeking a reliable and organised Admin Assistant to join our busy secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) school. This is a full-time, temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.You will work closely alongside one other Admin Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day running of the school office in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Key Responsibilities: General administrative duties to support the school office Answering telephone calls and responding to emails Managing attendance records and pupil data Filing, photocopying, scanning and data entry Supporting staff, pupils and visitors to the school Assisting with diary management and school communications Using and maintaining school systems accurately Adhering to school policies, including safeguarding and confidentiality The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous administrative experience (school-based experience desirable) Strong working knowledge of school systems (e.g. SIMS or similar) Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office Excellent organisational and time-management skills Strong communication skills Ability to work well as part of a team and independently A calm, professional approach in a busy environment What we offerAs part of our team, you benefit from: Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
