Our client is a leading hedge fund seeking an experienced Credit Portfolio Manager to run a long/short credit strategy. This role offers full responsibility for portfolio construction and risk management, supported by robust infrastructure and a collaborative investment environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage a long/short credit portfolio, identifying opportunities across corporate bonds, credit derivatives, and event-driven situations. Conduct in-depth fundamental research on issuers, sectors, and capital structures to uncover mispriced risk and relative value trades. Apply disciplined risk management and portfolio optimisation techniques in line with firm-wide parameters. Work closely with analysts and traders to ensure efficient execution and performance monitoring. Maintain awareness of market developments, macro trends, and regulatory changes impacting credit markets. Requirements: Proven track record of running a credit strategy. Strong expertise in credit analysis, including high-yield, investment-grade, and distressed situations. Deep understanding of capital structures, covenants, and event-driven catalysts. Excellent risk management skills and ability to operate independently.
