Private Client Solicitor – Leeds We are working in partnership with a highly regarded, specialist law firm based in Leeds, which is seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join its Tier 1-ranked Private Client team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest and most prestigious private client departments outside of London, known for handling complex, high-value estates and delivering exceptional client service.This firm has earned a reputation for being a trusted advisor to a long-standing client base, including high-net-worth individuals, landed estates, entrepreneurs and business owners.The Opportunity:This role would suit a Private Client Solicitor with 5 or more years’ PQE who is looking to progress within a collaborative, well-established team. The position offers high-quality, complex work with opportunities to be involved in some of the most sophisticated estate and tax planning cases in the region.You’ll work alongside leading experts in the private client field in a supportive and flexible working environment, where professional development, work-life balance and staff wellbeing are genuinely prioritised.Key Responsibilities: Advising on and administering high-value, complex estates, including those with agricultural, business and cross-border assetsPreparing inheritance tax returns, probate applications and full estate accountsAdvising on post-death tax planning, deeds of variation and disclaimerProviding technical advice on asset protection, succession planning and the use of trustsDrafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney and letters of wishesAdvising on the use of life policies in estate planningOffering bespoke capital tax planning advice and identifying opportunities for reliefs or deferralEnsuring trust compliance, including registration with HMRC's Trust Registration Service About You:To be considered for this role, you should have: A minimum of 5 years' PQE in private client lawStrong experience with estate administration and tax planningA STEP qualification or working towards it (desirable but not essential)Excellent attention to detail and technical drafting skillsA collaborative and client-focused approachStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload Why Apply?This is a standout opportunity to join a top-tier private client team in Leeds and be part of a law firm that truly values its people.
