Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools Full-time and flexible roles available Start date: ASAP Looking for a school-based role where no two days are the same and you’re genuinely making a difference?We’re working with a number of secondary schools looking for confident Cover Supervisors to step in and keep learning on track when teachers are away. It’s a great role if you enjoy working with young people, like variety in your week, and want hands-on experience in a secondary school setting.You’ll be delivering pre-set work, supporting pupils in the classroom, and helping maintain a calm, positive learning environment. No planning, no marking, just good classroom presence and clear communication.What you’ll be doing: Supervising classes during short-term teacher absences Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials Keeping students engaged, focused, and on task Managing classroom behaviour confidently and fairly Supporting the wider school team as needed Who this role is ideal for: Graduates considering a career in teaching Experienced Cover Supervisors or Teaching Assistants People with youth work, coaching, or mentoring experience Confident communicators who can lead a classroom Anyone looking for valuable secondary school experience What we’re looking for: Experience working with young people (school-based or similar) Strong behaviour management and calm authority Flexibility and a positive, professional attitude Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply What you’ll get with Protocol Education: Weekly pay through PAYE, no umbrella companies Free access to our online CPD Academy Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Opportunities across mainstream, SEND, and alternative settings A smooth, supportive registration process If you’re Thrive trained, that’s a big plus.
