To support this expansion, they are now seeking a German-speaking Senior Tax Manager to lead on all corporate tax matters related to their business operations in Germany.The RoleAs German-speaking Senior Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing German tax compliance, managing risks, and leading tax filings, audits, and reporting. You will manage teams in both the UK and Germany, while collaborating closely with global tax leadership on strategic initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Lead direct tax compliance and US tax reporting for Germany and selected European marketsOversee German tax compliance, planning, and reportingAct as German Tax Compliance Management System Officer, reporting risks and updates to senior leadershipManage German tax audits, including travel to Germany to liaise with tax authorities and finance teamsAdvise finance heads and educate internal stakeholders on changes in tax legislationPrepare US GAAP tax provisions, forecasts, and contingency reportsSupport cash flow planning and analysis related to taxesEnsure internal controls are aligned with SOX, corporate, and local compliance standardsDrive efficiency through technology in tax calculations and reportingManage external advisory budgets and internal resourcingFoster a high-performance culture, emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and customer focusCandidate ProfileFluent in German & English (spoken and written)Degree qualified with relevant German tax credentials (e.g. Steuerberater, Fachassistent für Steuerrecht, Steuerfachangestellte)Proven experience in corporate tax compliance & reporting, ideally in a multinational environmentStrong understanding of accounting principles, tax provisions, and financial statement disclosuresLeadership and people management experienceKnowledge of US GAAP (desirable)Able to work across cross-border teams in a fast-paced, complex environmentHighly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple prioritiesSalary & Benefits Very competitive salary, up to £90,00014% annual bonus + £7,000 car allowance Relocation package for professionals outside the UK26 days holiday + bank holidaysFamily healthcare cover & life assuranceAttractive company pension schemeCareer development support & funding for professional qualificationsVisa sponsorship & generous relocation assistance available for German-speaking professionals outside the UKApply NowTo be considered for this outstanding opportunity, please send your CV to:Jonathan Grimes – jgrimes@languagebusiness.co.uk
