SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 ASD Support
Location: Islington (near Highgate) Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday Start Date: 12th January Agency: Tradewind Education
Tradewind Education is currently recruiting a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child recently diagnosed with ASD (Autism) at a welcoming primary school based in Islington, near Highgate.
This is a rewarding and consistent role, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs. You will play a key role in helping the pupil access learning, develop communication skills, and feel safe and supported within the school environment.
The Role:
Providing 1:1 support for a child with ASD
Supporting learning, communication, and emotional regulation
Helping the pupil engage with classroom activities
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Full-time position, Monday to Friday
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD (desirable)
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
