Teaching Assistant – SEMH School (Stoke-on-Trent) Location: Stoke-on-Trent Pay: £90 – £110 per day (dependent on experience) Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time and day-to-day roles availableAre you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Teaching Personnel are recruiting Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEMH school in Stoke-on-Trent.This role is ideal for individuals with: Experience supporting pupils with behavioural or mental health needs A background in SEN, education, youth work, care work, or psychology Transferable skills from other professions where you’ve supported or mentored young people Your Role: Support pupils with SEMH needs 1:1 or in small groups Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and engagement in learning Assist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting individualised learning plans Help develop pupils’ confidence, emotional wellbeing, and social skills Contribute to creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment Who We’re Looking For: Experience in behaviour management, mental health support, SEN, or psychology Patient, empathetic, and adaptable Confident in handling challenging situations and supporting pupils’ emotional needs DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Why Join Teaching Personnel?
