Futures Recruitment are looking to appoint experienced Sustainability Manager to lead and embed a sustainability strategy across a manufacturing business. This role will focus on developing, implementing, and reporting on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations.The successful candidate will play a key role in driving measurable environmental and social impact while strengthening governance, transparency, and long-term value creation.Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver the organisation’s sustainability, CSR, and ESG strategy aligned with corporate goalsAct as a subject-matter expert on ESG trends, standards, and best practiceLead ESG data collection, analysis, and reporting in line with frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, and UN SDGsPrepare sustainability reports, ESG disclosures, and responses to investor and stakeholder questionnairesSupport ESG ratings, audits, and external assessmentsDesign and manage CSR programmes, including community engagement, ethical sourcing, diversity & inclusion, and employee initiativesPartner with internal teams and external organisations to deliver meaningful social impactDrive initiatives to reduce environmental impact, including carbon emissions, energy use, waste, and supply chain footprintSupport carbon accounting, reduction plans, and net-zero or science-based targetsWork with suppliers to improve sustainability and ethical standardsSupport ethical governance, risk management, and responsible business practicesContribute to sustainability-related policies, codes of conduct, and internal trainingCollaborate with senior leadership, operations, HR, finance, and communications teams Skills & Experience Proven experience in a Sustainability, CSR, or ESG roleStrong knowledge of ESG frameworks, reporting standards, and regulatory requirementsExperience delivering sustainability strategies and programmes in a commercial environmentAbility to analyse data and translate insights into actionable strategiesExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsStrategic thinker with strong delivery focus
