GRADUATE FREIGHT CO-ORDINATOR – FREIGHT FORWARDING / EUROPEAN ROAD FREIGHT (HERTFORDSHIRE)A brilliant opportunity to join a growing and progressive freight forwarding and logistics business based in Hertfordshire. This role is ideal for a Graduate (or someone early in their career) looking to build a long-term career within freight forwarding operations, European road freight, and import / export logistics.Full training is provided, along with ongoing support and mentoring from experienced colleagues, making this a genuine “learn and develop” opportunity within a fast-moving operations environment. THE ROLEAs a Graduate Freight Co-ordinator, you will support the day-to-day co-ordination of shipments between the UK and Europe, as well as movements within Europe. You will work closely with a Senior Operations Co-ordinator / Forwarding Manager and gain hands-on exposure to freight forwarding, supplier liaison, pricing, and customs requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Co-ordinate European Road freight shipments between the UK and Europe, and within EuropeSupport the management of a key contract for a substantial European-based manufacturerLiaise with suppliers, partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth freight operationsAssist with import and export processes, including developing knowledge of customs requirements post-BrexitNegotiate costs and rates with suppliers and (where relevant) clientsInput quotations and quoted prices accurately, and proactively chase outcomesCommunicate logistical solutions clearly via email and telephoneMaintain accurate records and ensure data is entered correctly on internal systems ABOUT YOUThis position would suit someone who is organised, commercially minded, and confident communicating with people. You will enjoy problem-solving, working to deadlines, and building relationships.
