SEN Teaching Assistant Southampton and surrounding areas£13.75 per hourTerm time only- Full-time & part-time optionsThe Role Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants to work in primary and secondary schools across the Southampton area. These roles involve supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.You will be working either one-to-one or in small groups, supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them to thrive in an inclusive and nurturing school environment.Key Responsibilities Provide in-class support to pupils with SEN Assist with managing behaviour and emotional regulation Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs Foster a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals What We’re Looking For Experience working with children or young people (particularly with SEN or additional needs) A calm, patient and resilient nature Ability to build strong, supportive relationships Confidence working independently and as part of a team Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential) Job Details Pay: £13.75 per hour Contract: Term time only Location: Southampton and surrounding areas What We Offer Access to a variety of SEN roles across Southampton Ongoing training and CPD through Teaching Personnel Dedicated consultant support Opportunities for long-term, short-term, and permanent roles A chance to make a real impact in young people’s lives All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
