Hatched Recruitment are urgently recruiting on behalf of Belfast City Council for 11 General Operatives to join the City and Neighbourhood Services team. Immediate starts available for seasonal cover in Waste Collection, Streetscene, Open Spaces, and Manual Labour tasks. Key Responsibilities:Safely collect and transport domestic, commercial, and priority waste.Carry out street cleansing, graffiti removal, litter collection, and general grounds maintenance.Assist with gardening, turfing, hedge cutting, and maintenance of public spaces.Operate hand tools, light plant, and equipment safely; follow Health & Safety and PPE requirements.Support mechanical sweepers and participate in gritting, snow clearance, and seasonal maintenance.Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public.Complete training and mandatory first-day induction. Shift Pattern:Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PMFriday: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM Mandatory Training (First Day Attendance Required):Dates are Mon 12th / Wed 14th and Mon 19th January Requirements:At least 1 year of relevant experience (waste collection, manual labour, grounds maintenance).Awareness of Health & Safety, PPE, and manual handling procedures.Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.Eligible to work in the UK.Completion of Belfast Pre-Employment Check Form.
