Your Role and Responsibilities As an English Teacher, you will: Deliver dynamic and engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, tailored to a range of abilitiesInspire students to develop a love for language, literature, and creative expressionTake full responsibility for planning, preparation, and assessment, ensuring lessons meet curriculum standardsContribute to the development of schemes of work and share best practice within a collaborative English departmentCreate a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and high expectationsUse effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a focused learning atmosphereSupport students’ academic progress and personal growth, including preparation for GCSE examinations What We’re Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Experience teaching English within a UK school settingStrong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and languageExcellent classroom management and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively and contribute to the wider school communityCommitment to ongoing professional development ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply – full induction and mentoring support will be provided.
