SEN Teaching Assistant – Part Time Location: Lancaster Start Date: Feburary 2026 Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hourAre you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is working with welcoming, Ofsted-rated “GOOD” primary schools in Lancaster seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams. These roles involve supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties, through tailored learning and 1:1 support. Your Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.Assist with the implementation of EHCPs and IEPs.Use PECS and other communication strategies for children with speech and language challenges.Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive, nurturing environment.Support classroom management and behaviour strategies when required. What We’re Looking For Previous experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and other SEN.Knowledge of EHCPs and IEPs (preferred).Ability to adapt teaching styles for diverse needs.Based locally in Lancaster or able to commute.A proactive, compassionate, and dedicated approach.Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
