Job Title: Labourer (Steam Bay Cleaner)Location: Barton Under NeedwoodDuration: min 3 months Afternoons: 2.30pm to 1am Mon to ThursPay Rate: TBC Our Engineering client based in Barton Under Needwood has a vacancy for a Steam Bay Cleaner/Labourer with a valid FLT Licence. All applicants must have the following: * Own transport recommended due to location * Proven experience in using counterbalance, reach, pivot forklift trucks, slinging equipment, cab and pendant controlled overhead cranes * Have a recognised forklift and crane driving qualification Job Purpose: The role of the the steam bay cleaner is to clean vehicles and pack and wrap parts. This role would also require the individual to drive various mechanical devices around site and also carry out general labouring duties as required. Key Responsibilities & Activities: * Wash/ clean vehicles such as rafts, engines, rafts frames and transmissions using pressured washer equipment * Prepare machinery/vehicles for delivery * Must be able to pack and shrink wrap products * Must be able to assist in site maintenance as needed i.e. litter picking, compact and bale waste * Operate forklift or other hand truck and heavy plant machinery * You must maintain and operate heavy equipment and machinery, from forklifts, cranes, battery Electric vehicle, etc * You should be able to load and unload materials and equipment across the site. This will involve manual handling of materials * Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies * Work to and support all relevant 5S activities * Report any issues or problems with jobs to the line manager * Take on any other reasonable responsibilities or tasks that are within the employee's skills and abilities * Comply with Company and statutory Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and Personnel policies and procedures. --- Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
