Healthcare Assistant - Dementia & Older Person Nursing Care Location: Sheffield Hours: Days or Nights (7:30am-7:30pm / 7:30pm-7:30am) Contract: Full‑time - 36 hours per week Pay Rates: £12.42 / £12.62 / £12.97 per hour About the Role We are currently recruiting compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team supporting residents within a Dementia and Older Person Nursing Care service in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care in a supportive and professional environment. You will be working as part of a caring team, ensuring residents receive the dignity, respect and support they deserve. Both day and night shifts are available. Key Responsibilities Providing personal care including washing, dressing, toileting and grooming Supporting residents with dementia using patience, empathy and understanding Assisting with mobility, transfers and safe moving & handling Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns to senior staff Supporting daily activities, meals, hydration and companionship Maintaining accurate documentation and following care plans Promoting dignity, independence and choice at all times Requirements Previous care experience (dementia or elderly care preferred) A caring, patient and reliable attitude Ability to work 12‑hour shifts Good communication skills and teamwork Right to work in the UK What We Offer Competitive hourly rates (£12.42 / £12.62 / £12.97) Set 36‑hour weekly contract Supportive team environment Training and development opportunities Opportunities for long‑term, stable work How to Apply If you are a compassionate Healthcare Assistant looking for a rewarding role in dementia and older person care, we would love to hear from you.
