PMK Ltd is a well-established electrical contracting business, providing electrical services for prestige clients in the Educational, Industrial and Commercial sectors throughout the UK & Ireland.Due to our continued growth, we are seeking to hire an Electrical Contracts Manager to join our team!The Electrical Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of our electrical projects from inception to completion. This includes managing budgets, schedules, and compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The role involves coordinating teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring quality workmanship and timely delivery. Key duties include client liaison, procurement, cost control, and reporting on project performance. Strong leadership, technical knowledge of electrical systems and commercial acumen are essential.What we are looking for in our new Electrical Contracts Manager:Technical CompetenceStrong understanding of:Electrical design and specificationsTesting, inspection, and commissioningHealth & Safety regulations (including CDM Regulations)Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and schedulesExperience coordinating with consultants, main contractors, and suppliersKnowledge of fire alarms, emergency lighting, and LV systemsProject & Contract Management SkillsEnd-to-end project delivery from tender to final accountProgramme planning and progress trackingCost control, budgeting, and financial reporting to line managerProcurement of materials and subcontractorsManaging variations and change controlPreparing and agreeing final accountsLeadership & People ManagementManaging site supervisors, electricians, and subcontractorsAllocating labour efficiently across projectsConducting site visits and toolbox talksResolving site issues and disputes professionallyHealth, Safety & ComplianceStrong commitment to health & safety best practicesEnsuring RAMS are prepared and followedConducting site audits and inspectionsEnsuring works comply with:BS 7671NICEIC standardsCompany and client policiesCommercial & Client ManagementClient-facing role with strong relationship managementAttending progress meetings and technical reviewsNegotiating variations, and extensions of timeMaintaining high levels of client satisfactionCommunication & OrganisationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong reporting and documentation abilitiesAbility to prioritise workloads and meet deadlinesCompetent with MS Office and project management softwarePersonal AttributesStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsCommercially aware and detail-orientedCalm under pressureProactive and self-motivatedProfessional and reliableExperience working on large-scale or high-value projectsSMSTS or SSSTS qualificationCriteria:Electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)ECS / CSCS card (managerial or supervisory level)5+ years experience in electrical contractingProven experience managing multiple electrical projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of commercial and/or industrial electrical installationsSolid understanding of the current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)Benefits:30 days Annual leave Company Pension Scheme Health Cash Plan
