Class 1 Driver - Days - £14.00 per hour (Rising to £14.93 after 12 weeks) - Monday to Friday - Ongoing Work The Best Connection are currently recruiting Class 1 (HGV Cat C+E) Drivers for our client based in Team Valley, Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity for professional drivers looking for day shift multi-drop work with consistent hours, pay, and the chance to join a reliable and supportive team throughout the busy period and beyond. The Role: Bulk delivery and collection work Multi-drop driving across the region Working Monday to Friday (5 shifts per week) Typical start time 09:00 - 18:00 (approximate finish) Carrying out deliveries and collections as required Ensuring all goods are safely loaded, secured, and delivered on time Performing vehicle checks and maintaining high safety standards Communicating effectively with the transport team The Candidate: Must hold a valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required Previous Class 1 experience preferred, but new passes will be considered Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious Good communication and customer service skills Hours of Work: Monday to Friday - 5 shifts per week Start time: 09:00 - 18:00 (approx finish) Ongoing work with consistent weekly hours Pay Rates: £14.00 per hour (standard) £16.50 per hour (overtime) £14.93 per hour standard (post 12 weeks) £18.66 per hour after 40 hours (post 12 weeks) £29.86 per hour on Bank Holidays (post 12 weeks) Why Work with The Best Connection?
