Job Title: Quality & Hygiene ManagerLocation: Dungannon, Northern Ireland DescriptionWe are hiring for our client, a well-established FMCG business, who are seeking an experienced Quality & Hygiene Manager to oversee site food safety, quality, and hygiene operations at their Dungannon site.The Quality & Hygiene Manager will lead the Quality & Hygiene Department, taking responsibility for people, systems, audits, complaints, and continuous improvement. Acting as the on-site point of contact for food safety and quality, this role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with legislation, customer standards, and internal policies, while supporting operations at every critical stage of production.This is a senior, hands-on position for a Quality & Hygiene Manager who can lead teams, influence standards, and drive a strong food safety culture across the site.Top 3 Things to Know About this JobSite ownership - Lead food safety, quality, and hygiene across the site as the key point of contact.People leadership - Manage, train, and develop the Quality & Hygiene team.Audit & compliance focused - Drive audit readiness, GMP standards, and continuous improvement.The RoleOversee the Quality & Hygiene Department, ensuring food safety, quality, and hygiene standards are met and maintained.Act as the main site contact for food safety and quality matters, including customer audits and external agencies.Manage end-to-end food safety and quality by supporting operations at each critical production stage.Lead the receipt, investigation, reporting, and trending of customer complaints, defect reports, and quality alerts.Plan, co-ordinate, and control all departmental activities to deliver the right quality product at the right time.Train, motivate, supervise, and coach the Quality & Hygiene team to achieve high standards and full compliance.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to raise quality and hygiene standards across the site.Manage systems audits, traceability schedules, pest control, and cleaning management procedures.Ensure full compliance with food safety legislation, customer standards, and internal policies.Champion GMP, hygiene standards, and "clean as you go" practices throughout the site.Work closely with the Technical Manager on HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, risk assessments, and process flows.Implement and manage hygiene schedules, liaising with hygiene suppliers and managing the hygiene team.Ensure all records, paperwork, and documentation are completed accurately and on time.Promote best practice and the adoption of new technologies where appropriate.Support your own development through training and on-the-job learning.Be flexible to work across other sites or departments within the wider group if required.The PersonProven experience in a Quality, Food Safety, or Hygiene leadership role within FMCG or food manufacturing.Strong working knowledge of food safety legislation, GMP, HACCP, and audit standards.Experience leading customer audits, complaints management, and external inspections.Confident people manager with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop teams.Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.Clear communicator, able to work effectively with operations, technical teams, customers, and suppliers.Proactive, improvement-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge standards and drive change.The Reward (Salary / Benefits / Company Culture)Competitive salary, dependent on experience.Senior, site-based role with real responsibility and visibility.Opportunity to lead and influence food safety and quality standards across the business.Supportive environment focused on compliance, continuous improvement, and professional development.Skills:Quality Hygiene
