Heritage Bricklayer - Guildford, Surrey (Restoration Project) Rate: £220 per day | Start: Mid-February Contract: Minimum 6 months We are currently recruiting a skilled Heritage Bricklayer to work for a market-leading specialist in historic building conservation. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure long-term work on a prestigious project in Guildford, Surrey. About Us Atkinson Baker Associates are a specialist construction recruitment partner, supporting contractors nationwide with high-quality site operatives and long-term workforce solutions. The Role You will be working on a significant restoration project, carrying out intricate brickwork repairs and conservation. The ideal candidate must have a proven background in working with historic fabric and be confident using traditional materials. Key Responsibilities Careful removal and cleaning of existing brickwork. Re-pointing and brick replacement using lime mortars. Matching bonds and mortar mixes to existing historic stonework/brickwork. Working to high specifications and conservation standards. Adhering to strict health and safety protocols on a heritage site. Requirements Essential: Proven experience working on Heritage, Restoration, or Listed Building projects. Essential: Valid CSCS Card. Essential: Own transport and full PPE. Essential: Own professional tools suitable for detailed brickwork. Reliable, punctual, and able to work with precision. What's on Offer £220 per day (Paid weekly). Minimum 6 months work for the right candidate. Start date: Mid-February. Opportunity to work with a highly respected restoration contractor. Payment via CIS, Umbrella, or PAYE available.
