Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Dinnington (S25) Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-TimeIs it a passion of yours to enrich students’ lives and make sure they succeed?GSL Education are looking for a patient, compassionate, and proactive Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs across schools in Dinnington (S25). This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys helping students overcome challenges and build confidence, resilience, and independence.What to Expect in This SEMH TA Role: Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEMH needs.Assist in classroom activities and adapt tasks to meet individual emotional and learning needs.Support students with behaviour management, focus, and engagement.Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement personalised support plans.Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment. Requirements for This Role: Previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs is desirable.Patient, empathetic, and understanding approach.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Confident, proactive, and adaptable in challenging situations.Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
