Maths Teacher – Secondary SEMH School
Location: Blackburn Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm Contract: Full-time, long-term with potential for a permanent roleWe are seeking a dedicated and resilient Maths Teacher to work in a Secondary SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Blackburn. This is a full-time, long-term position with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate.The Role:
Deliver engaging and appropriately differentiated Maths lessons to secondary-aged pupils
Support students with SEMH needs in a structured and nurturing learning environment
Demonstrate strong and consistent behaviour management
Build positive relationships with pupils who may present challenging behaviour
Work closely with support staff, SEN teams, and senior leadership
Promote both academic progress and emotional development
The Ideal Candidate:
Has strong behaviour management skills (essential)
Has experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour (highly desirable)
Holds QTS or a relevant teaching qualification, or has substantial experience in a similar setting
Is calm, patient, resilient, and consistent
Is passionate about making a positive difference in young people’s lives

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
