Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Greenwich, London Start Date: JASAP Contract Type: Full-time Pay Rate: £100-£120 per day (depending on experience) We are working with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Greenwich that is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from January. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting students with additional needs in a secondary school setting. The Role: You will provide targeted support to students with SEN, working both in the classroom and through small group or one-to-one interventions. The role focuses on helping students access the curriculum, remain engaged in learning, and develop confidence and independence within a mainstream environment. Key Responsibilities: Supporting students with SEN across KS3 and KS4 Working one-to-one or in small groups to reinforce learning Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and differentiation Supporting students' behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation Liaising with teaching staff and the SENCo to implement support strategies Requirements: Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or working with young people with additional needs (preferred) Experience within a mainstream secondary school setting is desirable A patient, proactive, and supportive approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) What We Offer: Daily pay between £100-£120, based on experience A supportive and inclusive school environment Opportunity to gain further experience within a mainstream secondary school Ongoing guidance and support from school staff If you are a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a Greenwich secondary school, we would be pleased to hear from you.
