Hayward Hawk are proud to be recruiting for a finance/bookkeeping assistant. Our client is looking for a detail-oriented individual to support daily finance operations in a very busy office environment. Youll be part of a close-knit finance team handling a variety of payment processing, account maintenance, and internal support tasks. This role is full time, working hybrid and located in Belfast.Key Responsibilities:Process and record all incoming and outgoing payments accurately and on timeMaintain up-to-date and accurate bank records across multiple accountsPrepare and approve electronic payments within daily deadlinesManage and track customer and supplier payments, including cheque processingHandle currency transfers and manage internal fund movementsInvestigate and resolve payment-related queries from clients, banks, and third partiesAssist with inbox management, ensuring all finance-related emails are addressedCollaborate with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operationsProvide support across the finance function as neededExperience:Minimum 2 years in a fast-paced finance/accounts roleComfortable handling high volumes of transactional dataConfident working with finance systems and Microsoft Office toolsPrevious experience in bookkeeping, payments/cashering or bankingExcellent communication and time management skillsOrganised, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks independentlyStrong attention to detailAble to work well both independently and within a team
