Trainee Teaching Assistant – Burscough Job Title: Trainee Teaching Assistant Location: Burscough Length of Role: Until July 2026, starting ASAP Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour Setting: Mainstream Primary SchoolA friendly and inclusive primary school in Burscough is seeking a dedicated Trainee Teaching Assistant to join their team. This long‑term role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and eager to gain hands‑on experience in a school environment. The school is well‑regarded for its supportive staff, strong community ethos and commitment to pupil wellbeing.In this role, you will assist teachers with lesson delivery, provide targeted support to pupils who may need additional help, and contribute to creating a positive and engaging classroom environment. You will help prepare resources, support behaviour management and assist with the smooth running of the school day. This position offers valuable insight into teaching practice and the opportunity to develop key skills in communication, organisation and child development.Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience working with children, such as youth work, care work or sports coaching.
