Accounts Assistant Manager Guildford, Surrey Hybrid Working Competitive, based on experience A well-established accountancy practice in Guildford is recruiting an Accounts Assistant Manager to join its growing Accounts team. This role is ideal for a qualified ACA / ACCA accountant with strong practice experience who is looking to take on greater responsibility, client ownership and advisory exposure. The position offers a mix of hands-on accounts preparation and review, team supervision and business advisory / corporate finance support, making it a well-rounded opportunity for career progression. The Role Manage a growing portfolio of clients, acting as the primary point of contact Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and groups Prepare and review year-end working paper files and liaise with auditors Manage and oversee group consolidationsReview accounts and files prepared by junior colleagues Support Directors with advisory projects, including due diligence and company valuations Deliver management accounts, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis with commentary Take ownership of assignments from planning through to final delivery Manage day-to-day client relationships to ensure a high-quality service Support the training, supervision and development of junior staff Ensure compliance with current UK accounting standards and best practice Contribute to process improvements and firm growth initiatives Candidate Profile ACA or ACCA qualified (essential) Degree-level education or equivalent Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice (essential) Strong knowledge of UK accounting standardsExperience preparing and reviewing accounts for limited companies and groups Experience with consolidated accounts (essential) Exposure to Charities’ accounts (desirable) Interest in corporate finance and advisory workExperience using CCH Accounts Production, Silverfin and Xero (desirable) Strong Excel and general IT skills Full UK driving licence with own vehicle preferred What’s on Offer Competitive salary dependent on experience Hybrid working and flexible hours Clear progression pathway to Accounts ManagerExposure to advisory and corporate finance work Supportive team culture with ongoing development Guildford-based role with local and regional clients Location Guildford , Surrey Conveniently located and easily commutable from Guildford, Woking, Farnham and surrounding Surrey areas· Next Steps For a confidential discussion or to apply, please get in touch Jack Wood on or
