This role offers the opportunity to work across the full AI development lifecycle in a professional, fast-moving environment where innovation and quality are equally valued.About the RoleThis role sits within a collaborative technical function responsible for building and maintaining AI-enabled systems used in live, commercial environments. You will work closely with senior engineers and technical leadership to translate concepts into production-ready solutions, contributing to system architecture, development, testing, and ongoing optimisation.The position is well suited to someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working with data-driven systems, and developing robust software that can scale securely as requirements evolve.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain AI-enabled software components and back-end servicesImplement, optimise, and support machine learning models for real-world production useBuild and integrate APIs to enable AI functionality across systemsWork with structured and unstructured data, including preparation, validation, and performance tuningCollaborate with senior technical colleagues to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainableContribute to architecture decisions, technical documentation, and code reviewsSupport testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement of live systemsEnsure development aligns with secure coding practices and relevant data protection principlesAdhere to internal policies, procedures, and development standardsUndertake other reasonable tasks as required by technical leadership What You’ll Bring Strong experience in software development using at least one modern language (e.g. Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or similar)Practical experience developing or integrating AI and machine learning solutionsFamiliarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or equivalentExperience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with cloud-hosted servicesUnderstanding of data pipelines, model training, evaluation, and deploymentExperience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and collaborative workflowsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
