Lead pastoral support across the school to ensure students feel safe, supported, and valuedMonitor student wellbeing and progress, identifying and addressing concerns proactivelyWork closely with teachers, families, and external agencies to provide consistent supportManage behaviour systems, mentoring, and interventions to promote positive choicesOrganise programmes and workshops to enhance student resilience, confidence, and social skillsMaintain accurate records and contribute to reporting on pastoral initiatives
What we are searching for in a Pastoral Manager:
Experience in a pastoral, mentoring, or student support role is desirableStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCalm, confident, and empathetic approachAbility to manage challenging situations professionallyOrganised, reliable, and student-focusedCommitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeingAn enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
