We are seeking a motivated and confident English Graduate Cover Supervisor to support teaching and learning across a secondary school. This role involves supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher, delivering pre-prepared English lessons, and ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future PGCE or teacher training route, offering valuable classroom experience in a secondary setting. Key Responsibilities Supervise English lessons across KS3 and KS4 using set work Manage classroom behaviour and engage students in learning Support pupils to stay on task and meet lesson objectives Follow school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and attendance Provide feedback to teaching staff where required The Ideal Candidate Will Have: A degree in English or a related subject Confidence working with groups of up to 30 students Strong communication and organisational skills A professional, calm, and proactive approach A genuine interest in education and teaching Why This Role?
