Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: Cookstown Contract: Permanent Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 Sector: Engineering / Manufacturing Software: Revit | SolidWorks | InventorA large, well-established engineering business in Cookstown is continuing through a strong period of growth and is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join its expanding design team.This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically complex projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, with clear long-term development prospects.The Role As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions across a range of engineering projects. You will work closely with electrical, process, and controls engineers, contributing throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial concept through to installation and commissioning.Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical design and development in line with client and project specificationsProduction and coordination of 3D models using Revit and related design toolsCreation of general arrangement drawings, sections, and elevationsDevelopment of detailed fabrication and installation drawingsPreparation of equipment schedules, calculations, and technical specificationsLiaising with suppliers and subcontractors to source equipment and technical informationSupporting technical submissions and design reviewsAttending project design meetings and site visits as requiredWorking collaboratively within a multidisciplinary design teamEnsuring designs comply with quality, environmental, and health & safety standardsWhat We're Looking For Essential:HNC / HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 4 years' experience in a mechanical design engineering roleStrong experience with 3D design software such as Revit, SolidWorks, or InventorBackground in fabrication and practical design for manufactureAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering teamProactive, innovative approach to engineering design What's On OfferSalary of £42,000 - £45,000Permanent role with a growing and financially stable engineering companyExposure to technically challenging, end-to-end engineering projectsModern design tools and systemsLong-term career development and progression opportunitiesSupportive, collaborative engineering cultureIf this role could be of interest to you, reach out to or click apply.
