Sound Engineer - City of LondonWe're looking for a sound engineer who'll join our entertainment team, making sure that every live performance is worthy of The Ned. Whether it's the daily live music on our Nickel Bar stage, a jazz performance in The Parlour Restaurant, or any entertainment at a Ned's Club membership event, you'll make sure that our guests can enjoy perfect music, vocal performances, and live speakers.Do you want to join one of the best places to work in hospitality?What's the role?Sound Engineer About The NedThe Ned and Ned's Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned's Club - a private members' space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, ten restaurants and bars and 248 hotel bedrooms.Reporting into the Sound and Production Manager, you will:Provide live sound engineering for any of the shows in The Nickel stage, The Parlour, or at a membership eventThe Ned is a 100-year-old building and was originally designed as a bank, not a live music and entertainment venue, but you'll make sure every performance feels like the room was made for itSet up backline and PA systems for events, including managing sound checksBe a point of contact for musicians on site at The NedRepresent The Ned and assist freelance staff covering lighting or audio, including making sure health and safety guidelines are being followedProtect our equipment by maintaining great working practices and doing general housekeeping of your storage areasWhat you can bring to the role: The technical skills for the role are a non-negotiable, so you'll be ready to demonstrate your audio engineering prowess.
