Based in London, this position offers the chance to work on high-voltage infrastructure projects ranging from 33kV and above.As an OHL Design Engineer, you’ll work within a skilled multi-disciplinary team to develop design solutions for new and upgraded electricity transmission infrastructure. You’ll produce concept and detailed designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and help deliver safe, cost-effective, and buildable solutions for clients.This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering long-term career progression and the chance to work on projects across the UK.This role is ideal for professionals with a background in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, particularly those with experience in high-voltage design, OHL systems, or utility infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Develop concept and detailed designs for overhead line structures and systemsPrepare and check technical reports, design intent documents, calculations, and analysisWork alongside Lead Engineers to support design delivery across project phasesEnsure compliance with relevant legislation, health and safety, and CDM requirementsLiaise with internal and external stakeholders, including site teams and clientsReview risk assessments and support construction implementationMentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Key Requirements: Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical EngineeringMinimum 2 years’ post-graduate industry experienceFamiliarity with PLS-CADD, PLS-Tower, or similar industry software (advantageous)Working knowledge of BS EN 50341 and other industry standardsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsCommitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous development Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary, reflective of experienceLong-term career development opportunitiesVaried and technically challenging projects across the UKSupportive and collaborative working culture Consortium Professional Recruitment Ltd are a professional level recruitment consultancy specialising in the delivery of high relevance recruitment services on behalf of our clients across the UK.
