This role is vital in ensuring a first class building maintenance service within the hospital and satellite sites, covering reactive, project and scheduled maintenance work.Above all else, we're committed to the care and improvement of human life. Other's may think this is just a role in our Estates team, but to us, you'll be part of a wider team with a unique sense of purpose, one that helps improve lives on a daily basis.What you'll do:To carry out Mechanical plant PPMS e.g. AHU`s, Spilt Units, Fan Coils, Compressors, filter replacements, controls troubleshooting, minor repairs, plumbing skillsSupport with cross discipline PPMs as required water safety PPMs, Patient room PPM's, handy man workTo work on planned preventive maintenance schedules, in line with departmental goals and objectives.To respond to emergency maintenance and reactive maintenance as requested.To prioritise work requests and carry them out efficiently.To supervise external contractors as directed by the Chief Engineer.To carry out all work in adherence to Health and Safety and COSHH polices and guidelines.To operate a shift system or On Call as required.To document all work accurately.To assist in projects as required.Out hours work and overtime available and willingWhat you'll bring:Qualified in relevant discipline e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ mechanical, or an engineering building services qualificationPrevious experience within a Hospital or similar organisationHealth and Safety, COSHHGeneral knowledge of Fire regulationsExcellent customer care and communication skillsMust have a flexible approach to workGood verbal and non-verbal communication skillsWhy HCA UK?Originally founded over 50 years ago by Dr Thomas Frist, HCA has gone on to become one of the world's leading healthcare providers.
