We care for the whole family, providing opportunities to join in, develop, and feel empowered while reducing the isolation families can experience. Founded in 2006 by parent volunteers, Skylarks has grown over nearly 20 years into an award winning charity supporting thousands of families. We deliver inclusive activities, therapies, advice services and programmes that are often otherwise inaccessible. PURPOSE OF ROLE This role is perfect for an aspiring marketer or an experienced social media user looking to give back. You will help amplify Skylarks’ voice, ensuring our digital community is engaged, informed, and supported through high quality social media content. PRINCIPAL TASKS Content Creation: Supporting the internal team with the creation of engaging posts across our social platforms. Brand Consistency: Ensuring all posts are "on brand," consistent in tone, and visually aligned with Skylarks’ identity. Community Management: Monitoring social media channels and providing timely, empathetic replies to comments and Direct Messages. Scheduling: Helping to maintain a regular and consistent posting schedule. PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential: Experience using major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.). Excellent written communication skills with a focus on empathy and inclusion. Reliability and the ability to respond to messages in a timely manner. Desirable: Experience with design tools like Canva, Adobe and/or scheduling tools. A background or strong interest in Marketing or Communications.
