Assistant Accountant PortadownWe are working with a well-established, family-owned food manufacturing business based in the Portadown area, operating at significant scale and supplying major UK retailers and food service partners. As part of continued growth, they are now seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or studying accountant who is looking to develop their career within a stable, growing FMCG business.What We Offer:Competitive salary (DOE)Stable, growing manufacturing businessExposure to inventory and costing within FMCGStudy support (AAT/ACCA/CIMA if applicable)Supportive finance team and long-term development opportunitiesKey Responsibilities:Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and employee expensesReconcile supplier statements and resolve queriesPerform regular bank reconciliationsReconcile petty cash and company credit card transactionsPost and match receipts and paymentsAssist with month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and journalsWho Were Looking For:2+ years experience in a similar accounts or assistant accountant roleAAT qualified or studying towards AAT / part-qualified ACCA or CIMAStrong knowledge of accounting principles and month-end processesExperience using accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)Desirable:Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environmentIf you are interested, please get in contact with Diarmuid for more information.
