Job Title: Principal Geoenvironmental EngineerLocation: LondonSalary: £55,000 - £70,000 Are you a Principal Geoenvironmental Engineer with a strong background in business development? An exciting opportunity has arisen in London for a senior geoenvironmental professional to join a well-established environmental and engineering consultancy at a strategic level. This role offers a genuine blend of technical leadership, project delivery, and business growth, with the chance to play a key role in shaping the future direction of the geoenvironmental team. You'll be trusted to lead major projects, manage key client relationships, and actively contribute to winning new work across the London and South East market. The role will include: Leading and overseeing complex geoenvironmental projects from bid stage through to deliveryActing as a technical authority for contaminated land and ground risk assessmentsPreparing and reviewing Phase 1, Phase 2, and remediation strategy reportsManaging and mentoring junior and mid-level engineersDriving business development activity, including: Identifying and securing new opportunitiesDeveloping and maintaining key client relationshipsSupporting bid writing, fee proposals, and tenders Working closely with senior management to support regional growth About you: Degree qualified in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related disciplineExtensive experience in geoenvironmental / contaminated land consultancyProven track record in business development and client managementStrong technical knowledge of UK environmental legislation and guidanceChartered (or working towards) status preferredCommercially aware with excellent communication skills What's on offer: Senior, influential role within a growing consultancyCompetitive salary, bonus, and benefits packageClear pathway to Associate / Director levelHigh-profile projects across London and the South East If you're a Principal Geoenvironmental Engineer looking for a role that combines technical leadership with real commercial influence, this could be the perfect next step.
