Job Role:Gas Oil EngineerLocation: N.I. Working Hours: 40 hoursResponsible:Contracts ManagerJob Summary: A demanding position which requires an individual to work flexibly and travel across Northern Ireland and also use their own initiative in a fast-moving environment.Main Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out gas and oil servicing Response maintenance as and when required Communicate with management and Quantity Surveyor Itemize the work to be carried out in customers dwellings and premises Carry out the actual work to the high-quality standards that the organization expects Uphold Data Protection Policies Travel across Northern Ireland as required Undertake any other duty deemed necessary by Management, to ensure the efficient running of the business Health & Safety: Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policy at all times Report any accidents or issues regarding health & safety appropriately Ensure all Risk Assessments & safe systems of work are read, understood, signed and followed Observe & follow all manual handling practices Qualifications and Experience: NVQ Level 2 Plumbing or equivalent Must be eligible for OFTEC and On Gas safe Register Completed oil training courses Evidence of gas courses either CCN1, CEN1, CKR1, MET1 or others Completed and up to date Gas qualifications and either be gas certified Valid CSR Card or formal Health and Safety Training Full UK Driving License Experience in construction or plumbing and heating industryAttributes/Skills: The successful candidate should: Be capable of working on own initiative Ability to work methodically and with attention to detail Good communication and organizational skills Have a good timekeeping and attendance record Have the ability to work with a wide range of people Be a good team player Demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal directions Demonstrate a flexible attitude towards assigned tasks Be reliable & committed Have ability to work to deadlines Participate in overtime when required (including weekends) Have ability to take on new skills Have a positive approach to continuous improvement processes and techniquesIn addition: As part of our recruitment process an Access NI disclosure will also be required. The role may also require the successful candidate to undertake work specific training on the job or externally.
