Formation of the Hospital Group In recent years, St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust have strengthened their ties, culminating in the formation of a Hospital Group. Position Overview: We're seeking a vascular-trained sonographer to support both inpatient and outpatient services.Must be confident scanning: Patient Care: Prepare patients, explain procedures, ensure comfort, and maintain sterile environments.Scanning: Perform comprehensive vascular ultrasounds (e.g., carotid, limb, abdominal) using specialized equipment.Image Analysis: Differentiate between normal and pathological findings, interpret sonograms, and identify vascular diseases.Reporting: Generate detailed, high-quality reports with differential diagnoses for physicians.Collaboration: Work with vascular surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.Equipment Management: Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot ultrasound and plethysmography equipment. Essential Skills Proficiency in non-invasive vascular testing (e.g., Doppler, duplex).Strong understanding of vascular anatomy and pathology.Excellent communication and patient care skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Acute attention to detail and critical thinking.
