Job summaryCamberwell Green Surgery is looking for an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to lead the operational, administrative, and strategic management of the practice. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of NHS primary care operations, and a commitment to improving patient services.Main duties of the jobThe Practice Business Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and operational management of the practice, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of services, effective staff performance, and financial efficiency. This includes managing budgets, overseeing HR and recruitment processes, maintaining compliance with CQC and NHS contractual requirements, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves developing policies and systems, coordinating meetings and reports, leading on quality and performance targets (including QOF), and ensuring a safe, high-performing, and patient-focused environment. The post holder will work closely with GP Partners and senior staff to drive strategic development, support staff training and wellbeing, and maintain strong communication within the practice and with external stakeholdersAbout usCamberwell Green Surgery is a well-established NHS GP practice located at 17 Camberwell Green, London, SE5 7AF, serving a diverse urban patient population. The practice is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred primary care services in a supportive and well-organised environment.The practice is led by 3 GP Partners and supported by 4 Salaried GPs. The wider clinical team includes 45 GPs on rota, 1 AHP, 2 GP Trainees, 1 HCA, and 2 Practice Nurses, working collaboratively to deliver comprehensive primary care services.Camberwell Green Surgery operates using EMIS Web as its clinical system and places strong emphasis on clinical governance, team collaboration, and continuous service improvement.
