We are seeking a calm, resilient, and nurturing SEMH Teacher to join a challenging behavioural school on a long-term supply basis. This setting supports students with significant social, emotional, and mental health needs, many of whom require tailored learning approaches, strong boundaries, and consistent emotional support.This role is ideal for a teacher with a passion for inclusion, a strong understanding of SEMH, and the ability to manage challenging behaviour with confidence and empathy.Key ResponsibilitiesTeach a small cohort of students with SEMH needs across a range of subjects (primary or secondary model depending on setting).Deliver structured, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.Use restorative and trauma-informed approaches to behaviour management.Build strong, trusting relationships that support emotional regulation and engagement.Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders.Track academic and personal progress, providing clear, supportive feedback.Contribute to a positive, safe, and therapeutic school environment.RequirementsQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.Experience teaching in SEMH, PRU, EBD or other alternative provision settings (highly desirable).Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, consistent approach.Understanding of trauma-informed practice, safeguarding, and SEND strategies.Ability to differentiate learning for students working below age-related expectations.Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.A resilient, patient, and compassionate approach to challenging situations.We OfferSmaller class sizes with additional support staff.Opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.Competitive daily rate based on experience.How to ApplyTo apply, please send your CV
