SENDCOAn established and high-performing independent school in West London is seeking an experienced and committed SENDCo to lead and further develop its SEND and EAL provision. This is a senior, influential role working closely with the leadership team to ensure all pupils can fully access a broad, stimulating curriculum and achieve excellent outcomes. The successful candidate will champion inclusive education, high-quality teaching, and early intervention, working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.SENDCO ROLE: Leading and developing high-quality SEND and EAL provision across the schoolEnsuring pupils with additional needs can fully access the curriculum and make excellent progressPromoting inclusive practice and quality first teaching across all departmentsOverseeing screening, assessment, tracking and review processes for SEND pupilsManaging exam access arrangements in line with JCQ regulationsWorking closely with senior leaders, heads of faculty, parents and external agenciesProviding guidance, training and resources to staff on specific learning needsLine managing SEND support staff and overseeing departmental resources and budgetSupporting smooth pupil transitions and maintaining accurate SEND documentationSafeguarding the welfare, wellbeing and progress of all pupils SENDCO ESSENTIALS: Having a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar roleHolding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Obtaining the National Award for SEN Coordination or being willing to work towards itDemonstrating proven experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school environmentPossessing a strong understanding of SEND legislation and statutory guidanceManaging exam access arrangements and ensuring JCQ complianceAnalysing data to inform strategy and interventionShowing excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills SENDCO BENEFITS: Providing free lunches during the school termOffering generous pension contributions If you feel that you fit the above criteria, then please apply today by submitting your CV to us.
