Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Stowmarket, Suffolk Salary: £52,000 Shift Pattern: Panama Shift About the Business Our client is a long-established, market-leading manufacturer, with over 90 years of operational history. The business operates globally, supplying customers across the UK, Europe, North America and Asia, and generates annual revenues in excess of £100 million. The site is a large-scale manufacturing facility, producing approximately 120,000 tonnes per year and supported by a second UK production site. The business supplies a wide range of well-known international brands, operating within a highly automated and technically advanced environment. The Role An opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a high-performing Engineering team at a major UK manufacturing site. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of production and utility plant equipment. The position involves planned maintenance, reactive breakdown response, plant modifications and small engineering projects, along with participation in call-out and shutdown programmes. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and fault findingProvide a proactive and dynamic response to engineering issuesMaximise equipment availability and production efficiencySupport shutdowns and continuous improvement activitiesMaintain high standards of health, safety and complianceCommunicate effectively with internal stakeholders via CMMS and emailAccurately record work completed and spare parts requirements Plant & Equipment Exposure Conveyors, elevators, pumps, motors, presses, boilers and packaging machineryInline and shaft-mounted gearboxesCentrifugal and positive displacement pumpsVacuum systems, dust extraction and cyclone unitsHammermills, roller mills, de-stoners and grain dressing equipmentPLC / HMI / SCADA systemsInverters, variable speed drives and soft start systemsPneumatic and electrically actuated valves415V three-phase power, 110V and 24VDC control systemsSteam systems (up to 100 PSI)Instrumentation including PID control loops, load cells, pressure and temperature sensors What's on Offer £52,034 annual salarySecure, long-term role within a globally operating manufacturerTechnically challenging, varied engineering environmentOpportunity to work within a large, modern production facilityExcellent Benefits package If you are interested in this role and feel that you have the right skills then please click apply at the bottom of this advert.
