An excellent opportunity to join a leading international law firm in a Business Development Manager role, supporting a high-growth Regulatory & Investigations practice. This position sits within a wider disputes and contentious environment and plays a key role in delivering strategic business development, client targeting and marketing initiatives across the UK and internationally.Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will support partners across regulatory, compliance, investigations, financial crime, international trade and environmental matters. The role offers broad exposure, autonomy and the opportunity to contribute directly to practice and divisional growth.RoleSupport and deliver business development strategy across the Regulatory & Investigations practiceDevelop and manage BD campaigns aligned with practice, divisional and firmwide objectivesManage RFPs and proposal activity, including input into regional and global submissionsSupport key client development, panel appointments and client relationship initiativesWork with partners to implement individual and practice-level business plansConduct market and client research to identify opportunities and reasons to engagePrepare partners for client meetings, pitches and BD discussionsProduce high-quality credentials, presentations and promotional materialsSupport and coordinate client feedback initiativesEvents, Directories & Market DevelopmentPlan and deliver client events, both in-person and virtual, working with internal teamsDraft invitations, create target lists and manage event logisticsIdentify and manage sponsorship and hospitality opportunitiesManage legal directory and awards submissions, ensuring effective promotion of the practiceTrack return on investment using CRM and digital marketing toolsCandidate RequirementsProven business development experience within a legal or professional services environmentExperience supporting Regulatory, Compliance, Investigations, Financial Crime or related practicesStrong understanding of the UK legal market or willingness to develop this expertiseAbility to manage multiple priorities and work to short deadlinesConfident stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationshipsHighly organised with strong attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and LinkedIn (Sales Navigator exposure advantageous)This is a strong opportunity for an experienced BD professional to join a strategically important practice within a collaborative, international environment.
