This is a long-term opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils across KS2 with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils who present with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, behavioural challenges, and other complex needs, providing consistent support to help them regulate emotions, access learning, and build positive relationships within the school environment. This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who thrives in structured SEMH settings, understands behaviour as communication, and can remain calm, patient, and nurturing in challenging situations. Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities: Support KS2 pupils within the SEMH provision as a Teaching AssistantProvide 1:1 and small group support as a Teaching AssistantSupport pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and behavioural needs as a Teaching AssistantHelp pupils regulate emotions and manage behaviour as a Teaching AssistantAdapt learning activities and resources as a Teaching AssistantWork collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff as a Teaching AssistantSupport learning during class time, interventions, and transitions as a Teaching AssistantPromote positive behaviour and engagement as a Teaching AssistantMaintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment as a Teaching AssistantUphold safeguarding procedures and school policies as a Teaching Assistant Teaching Assistant - Requirements: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary, SEND, or SEMH settingStrong understanding of SEMH and behaviour support strategiesExperience supporting pupils with ASD and ADHDCalm, patient, and resilient approach as a Teaching AssistantAbility to build strong, trusting relationships with pupilsEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Why Join This School as a Teaching Assistant?
