Artemis Human Capital is proud to be partnering exclusively with a growing Northern Irelandbased organisation to appoint an Assistant Accountant as part of an expanding finance function.This is a newly created role designed to strengthen the month-end and management accounting capability of the business. It offers a broad, hands-on remit and is ideal for a part-qualified or finalist-level accountant, or an experienced Accounting Technician, who is keen to step into a role with real ownership and progression potential.Why Consider This Role?Youll be joining a professional, customer-led organisation operating in a fast-moving commercial environment. The finance team is collaborative, supportive, and well regarded internally, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and development.The role provides exposure across end-to-end management accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance making it an excellent platform for someone looking to deepen their technical and commercial experience.What Youll Be DoingWorking closely with senior finance colleagues, youll play a key role in delivering accurate financial information while supporting the wider day-to-day running of the finance function.Reporting & Month-EndContribute to the production of monthly management accountsPrepare and post journals, including accruals and prepaymentsSupport balance sheet reconciliationsAssist with analysis and commentary on monthly variancesTransactional FinanceOversee the accuracy of accounts payable and receivable postingsSupport aged debt reviews and cash allocation processesAssist with improving billing, invoicing, and payment workflowsControls & Continuous ImprovementMaintain strong audit trails and supporting documentationAssist with reconciliations and internal finance controlsGain exposure to broader commercial finance and business-facing projectsAbout YouYoull be motivated, organised, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven finance environment.
