Commercial Finance Manager (12-month Fixed Term), Marketing/Advertising, Central London, £50-55,000We are partnering with one of the most recognisable agencies in advertising where we are looking to hire a Commercial Manager to join their London based Finance team. The UK Finance team is a large, experienced group of finance professionals who act as trusted commercial partners to the business. The team plays a key role in enabling compliant, efficient and profitable growth, challenging the status quo and driving optimisation through technology and improved ways of working.This role suits someone proactive and collaborative, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and keen to influence how the business operates. There is significant scope for development through increased portfolio complexity, senior stakeholder engagement and strategic contribution.Key responsibilitiesDeliver timely, accurate and relevant financial reporting and insights for a portfolio of clientsLead revenue forecasting and budgeting, providing clear commentary on performance and variancesEnsure compliant revenue recognition in line with accounting standards, supported by appropriate documentationManage working capital effectively, maximising cash generation and escalating risks where neededMaintain accurate rate cards and support ad-hoc financial analysis and client requestsEnsure adherence to internal controls, reporting requirements and local regulationsMaintain clear documentation and readiness for internal and external auditsManage audit samples and lead client audits where requiredMaintain client contract summaries and ensure contractual obligations are understood and metAct as a trusted business partner, providing proactive commercial advice and insightSupport pricing, contract negotiations and development of robust pricing modelsDrive improvements in profitability, utilisation and recovery through data-led insightBuild commercial acumen across teams through guidance and trainingContribute to the evolution of the commercial finance functionDrive process improvement and leverage technology to improve efficiencyEncourage collaboration, mentorship and knowledge sharingSupport change management and adoption of finance systemsCollaborate with regional and global finance colleagues where requiredAbout youQualified or part-qualified accountant with a strong commercial mindsetProactive communicator able to influence stakeholders and challenge constructivelyStrong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger commercial pictureComfortable working to tight deadlines in a dynamic environmentStrong Excel skillsExperience with finance systemsExperience in advertising, media or professional services advantageous
