They are on the lookout for a driven, experienced Senior ICM Flood Modeller who is committed to overseeing a team of designers, engineers, and modelling experts within the flood risk management sector, based near the iconic, multicultural Capital City of London. Benefits for the role of Senior ICM Flood Modeller include (but are not limited to): Competitive salary (depending on the skills and experience you can offer the role)Employee rewardsBenefits packages tailored to you and your lifestyleGenerous annual leave entitlementPossibility of hybrid/flexible workingAn inclusive working environment that fosters creative, innovative thinkingAccess to a range of interesting projects across the regionExtensive training and career progression opportunities Responsibilities for the role of Senior ICM Flood Modeller include: Overseeing detailed technical work involving ICM hydraulic modelling, data analysis, GIS, and reportingProducing high-quality technical work for the Flood Risk TeamManaging a team of colleagues, with a commitment to supporting their Continuing Professional Development (CPD)Liaising closely with a range of clients and stakeholders at all points during project deliveryRepresenting the company at meetings and during other events and activitiesLeading several projects simultaneously, recognising opportunities for further business developmentOverseeing a variety of individual project aspects, including budgets, timeframes, and resourcing requirements, delegating work as appropriate Required skills and experience for the role of Senior ICM Flood Modeller include: A Degree in Geography, Environmental Management, Civil Engineering, or a cognate disciplineConsiderable experience of developing flood risk projects (particularly Integrated Catchment Modelling), and undertaking flood risk analyses/assessments for planning, development, and designExcellent working knowledge of Infoworks ICM, with extensive experience of 1D and 2D modellingExperience of leading and mentoring other colleaguesDemonstrable experience of liaising closely with a range of clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectorsProficiency in GIS, including software packages such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfoFamiliarity with other software systems, such as Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW, etc.Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsExcellent literacy and numeracy skills Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior ICM Flood Modeller include: Possess Chartered Status (or actively working to attain this)Experience of undertaking FEH hydrological assessmentsHold a full, valid UK driving licence If you are interested in the role of Senior ICM Flood Modeller, please do not hesitate to contact Caroline Davis at Penguin Recruitment.
