Senior Project Manager / Site Manager (New Build Education Project)ClientAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager with a background in new-build education projects to join a well-established contractor delivering a major educational development in Northern Ireland. The business has a strong reputation for high-quality delivery, strong HSQE standards, and long-term investment in its people. This role offers the opportunity to lead a technically complex education scheme within a collaborative, supportive and professional project team environment.The Ideal PersonYou will hold a third-level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline, with a strong Project Management focus supported by an underlying engineering background. You will have a minimum of 3+ years' experience delivering new-build construction projects, ideally within the education sector, and be confident managing projects from early design stages through to completion.ResponsibilitiesAs Senior Project Manager / Site Manager, you will take a lead role in the planning, coordination and delivery of the project, with responsibilities including:Overall Project Management leadership of a new-build education scheme from pre-construction through to handoverManaging programme, cost, quality and risk to ensure successful project deliveryLiaising with clients, consultants, designers, subcontractors and supply chain partnersCoordinating site activities while maintaining a strong strategic project overviewManaging procurement of subcontractors, materials and BOQ packagesLeading progress meetings and chairing project coordination workshopsOverseeing Health & Safety management and ensuring compliance with HSQE standardsReviewing drawings, specifications and technical submissions, applying engineering judgement where requiredMonitoring progress against programme and budget, reporting to senior managementManaging inspections, quality assurance and handover documentationMaintaining accurate project records, reports and progress updatesSupporting engineering input where necessary to resolve design or construction issuesEssential CriteriaThird-level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline3+ years' experience in a Project Manager / Site Manager role delivering construction projectsProven experience on new-build education or similar large-scale building projectsStrong Project Management capability with an underlying engineering understandingAbility to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholdersExcellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skillsTrack record of delivering projects from inception to completionFull EU / Irish driving licenceRelevant third-party Health & Safety site management trainingRemuneration£55,000 - £60,000 per annum + attractive benefits package, including:Company van and fuel cardPension schemeLaptop / desktop and mobile phoneCPD accredited employerExcellent career progression and training opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative working environmentFor further information on this vacancy, or any other Built Environment roles across Northern Ireland, please apply via the link below or contact us in strict confidence.Follow VANRATH on LinkedIn for: Expert career advice | Latest Top Jobs | Industry News | And much more Benefits:Company Van and Fuel Card + Pension
