Opportunity for a Costs Associate to join a leading litigation-only law firm in London. The Opportunity The firm's Costs team is now seeking a qualified Costs Lawyer to join its London office, supporting its Injury departments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist in-house costs function within a market-leading disputes practice. The role will involve a broad range of contentious and advisory costs work, including: Advisory and management: Advising internally on costs issues and strategyPreparing costs budgets and attending Costs Management HearingsActive costs management and budget monitoring (including use of costs software)Advising on costs offers and funding/retainer documentation Drafting and advocacy: Preparing breakdowns for negotiationDrafting formal bills of costsManaging the detailed assessment process, including attendance at hearings and associated advocacy You will also liaise with external Costs Lawyers where required, supervise junior team members, deliver internal training on costs developments, and contribute to business planning within the department.
