We're now on a look out for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead pre-booked sales at The Botanist Broadgate - one of most vibrant venues in ETM's portfolio. Role Overview: The role of a Business Development Manager is all about driving revenue, building long-term client relationships and positioning The Botanist Broadgate as a go-to destination for corporate events, sporting occasions and premium hospitality experiences. Working closely with Operations, Marketing and venue leadership, you'll shape and deliver a high-impact sales strategy that fuels both growth and guest experience. This is a Hybrid role, with flexibility for evenings/weekends around key events. Create and execute a strategic venue sales & events plan. Drive corporate and consumer bookings across events, celebrations and key trading periods. Support the General Manager in achieving overall commercial goals. Provide clear pipeline reporting, forecasting and conversion insights. Venue Representation & Client Experience Act as the venue's commercial lead and primary contact for event sales. Represent the venue at networking events and within the corporate community. Host show rounds, develop proposals and negotiate bookings. Oversee event planning, briefs and internal handovers. Lead guest experience at key events, managing feedback and service recovery. Business Development & Relationship Growth Build and nurture new and existing client relationships. Develop long-term sales plans around key calendar and sporting moments. Deliver showcase events to engage agencies, bookers and corporate clients. Monitor competitor activity and drive sales initiatives. Maintain strong CRM data and retain business within the wider ETM portfolio. Enquiry Management & Conversion Lead complex and high-value enquiries end-to-end. Identify client needs, upsell effectively and convert to confirmed bookings. Maintain excellent response times and enquiry standards. Systems, Process & Administration Own CRM and reservations platforms (Collins & OpenTable). Manage pipeline reporting, invoicing and booking administration. Support table planning and yield optimisation. Track and deliver against daily sales KPIs. Leadership & Collaboration Coach and support Sales & Events Executives where applicable. Assist with recruitment, onboarding and talent pipeline development. Support rota planning across peak trading periods. Present sales performance and contribute to cross-functional planning Skills & Experience: Essential Passion for luxury hospitality, with strong knowledge of sporting events and celebration-led sales opportunities. Proven track record in business development or event sales within premium hospitality or sport-led environments. Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering revenue targets and conversion KPIs. Confident communicator and presenter, skilled in show rounds, proposals and negotiations. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across venue, marketing and operations teams. Strong CRM capability (Collins, OpenTable or similar) with accurate reporting and forecasting skills. Exceptional attention to detail across contracts, proposals and event delivery. Desirable Experience using Collins, OpenTable, Triple Seat or similar systems. Established network within the London corporate and sporting events market. Experience delivering showcase or networking events to drive sales pipeline growth.
