About the Role: As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery in a clean room environment. Your mechanical expertise will help maintain high standards in production, all while working alongside a dedicated team. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance on a range of packaging machinery.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults, focusing on: - Basic pneumatics- Bearings- Gearboxes- Mechanical linkages and assemblies Utilise your excellent hand tool knowledge to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently.Collaborate with the electrical team when necessary to ensure optimal machine performance.Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety standards. What We're Looking For: Previous experience in the food manufacturing or packaging sector is highly desirable.A mechanical bias is essential; electrical knowledge is a plus but not required.Strong familiarity with hand tools and their applications.A proactive approach to preventive maintenance, while also being adaptable to reactive repairs.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, clean room environment, wearing necessary gear such as hair nets and facial hair nets.
